Amazon Introduces Titan: A New Fulfillment Center Robot 

Amazon Robotics has unveiled Titan, a new mobile robot designed to handle extra-heavy lifting in fulfillment centers. Titan, building on over a decade of mobile robotics innovation at Amazon, can lift two times more weight than its predecessor, Hercules. The robot's first task is to transport larger, bulkier items such as household appliances or pallets of pet food and gardening equipment. This innovation is currently in action at Amazon's SAT1 fulfillment center in San Antonio, Texas, where it is expected to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency. 

UAW Workers Reject Tentative Deal at GM Tennessee Plant

 

United Auto Workers (UAW) members at General Motors' Spring Hill plant in Tennessee have voted against a proposed contract. Despite the rejection at the facility level, UAW President Shawn Fain expressed optimism about the overall vote count, currently leaning toward approval.
